Hey friends,
Quick question. As most of you know, I love the sleep. I am like an early to bed kinda gal. The problem is, now that I am a small whale, I am having a hard time sleeping. I was always a stomach sleeper, and now that that is out of the question, it's almost impossible to get comfortable enough to sleep. Also, my legs don't feel it necessary to sleep at the same time as me, waking me up because they are jittery and restless. Do any of you have any tips on how to get a better night's sleep? Is there anything I can do or take in order to help me.
The following is a list of things I have already tried that didn't work:
- staying up later than normal so I am really tired when I lay my head down
- walking my legs out before I go to bed, and talking walks during the day at lunch
- reading in bed until my eyes are tired
- getting out of bed when I wake up in the middle of the night for a pee break, and not just lying there with my eyes open
So there you have it. I know everyone has their own little way to sleep, maybe you could pass on some tips? Thanks!

I used to have a pillow between my legs and another shoved in my arms and for some reason I would be comfy enough to fall asleep.....unfortunely it's going to get worse before it's better....and until you stop nursing stomach sleeping is just messy!!!!! No matter what I did I would leak......good luck on getting comfy!!!
I feel for ya! But I dont really have any tips, sorry.
Also, can i just mention...only 100 days to go! That is great!!... you are hours away from 2 digits!!
julia .. why don't you try out BARRY'S BED since its available ... haha
When I worked in Pregnancy Massage,
a lot of the women were big on using a body pillow.. the top half for their arms to hug and then run down around the belly and then between the knees. Said it made them feel super snuggled and soft... Two single pillows would work fine as mentioned.. Also some swore that a humidifier in their rooms with vapor rub stuff helped sooth and allowed them to sleep easier.
I agree with Kathy, a pillow between your legs helps. Sorry you haven't been sleeping well. Maybe it is just preparation for when you will be up with the baby after she's born. Gotta get used to it!
I used a big long body pillow ... the top half shoved under-neath the belly and the bottom half between my legs.
I also found it really helpfull to stretch before going to bed (instead of excersizing, which just wound me up more) it helped my legs relax and loosen up alot.
I did a mix of pregnancy yoga and pregnancy pilates stretches and it really helped... it also helped me not have any back pain either!! I can show you what i did if you want, let me know!
I never really had a sleep problem; however now that I am thinking about I haven't gotten a full nigth sleep since Hunter was born. So maybe this is a good thing ; maybe your little babes is going to be a good sleeper and you will be having sweet dreams soon. If I ever got restless I would sleep in our lazy boy. AS I said I am a big fan of the pregnancy message; I think they really helped me!
no tips from me...but when the time comes for me. I would like to know your best tips that worked.
Pillows everywhere...one has gotta hekp somewhere...stomach sleeper here and I just had to sleep as far on my side and close to my stomach as possible and would put a pillow behind my back so I would stay on that angle. It is preparing you for mummy-hood!
Ask me in person and I will do a demo for you of how I would sleep! I still do it now not being pregnant! It's super comfy! I am a true tummy sleeper as well! I Love it!
Your shower was so great! You got some way cute things!
