So yesterday was our ultrasound, and today I am here to give the full report. I can pretty much sum it all up with one word though: beautiful.
The whole experience was just the best thing ever, and really I want to do it everyday until the baby is born. To be able to see our little Baby B just hanging out inside me, waving and kicking, and swimming was just so wow. I am so glad we have the technology to take a look inside because I think it sort of creates an instant bond between the mum and dad and baby. I know Josh and I felt that way. The second the baby came up on the screen I was overwhelmed. I could hardly believe what I was seeing. A head and arms and hands and legs and feet, it was so surreal. The sonographer was super nice, pointing out different areas of the baby, letting us ask questions about what was on the screen. Tragically, we didn’t get any view between the legs. The little stinker ended up sitting on its bum for part of the time, therefore making it very hard for Josh and I to get a peek. It’s ok though, we go to UC Baby at the end of March. It seems pretty far away right now, but hopefully it will fly by. We got to see it’s little profile and I think we have one cute baby in there (a cute little 2-D grayscaled baby!). One thing I wish they offered was to print off some pictures for us to take home. I mean it’s our baby, we deserve it. Lucky for us, we have a friend who works at the hospital who said he would try to get my file and print some off for us. Super nice. If that happens, I’ll post picture for sure. In the meantime just imagine it looks like a little Skeletor, something from “A Nightmare Before Christmas”. So cute huh?!

Oh great! I have been wondering how it went. I knew you would love it, we felt the same way:) it is so special. Hey I found a black crib for you. Go to sears on line. you can have the crib sent to the halifax shopping center. Maybe you have already thought of this but thought I'd tell you just in case.
hahaha a little skeletor...you are too cute. I'm so excited that you finally got your ultrasound and that all went so well...except for no little peaks as to what Baby B might be. It sounds like such an amazing experience...such a cute blog write up...congrats mommy!!
I am so happy that you were finally able to get your ultrasound! I have been wondering when it would be and how it went! Now we just can't wait until UC Baby!
Davis and I said the same thing when we were having our ultrasound, we wished we could go do it everyday until the baby comes!! It is so weird to see the baby move on screen and feel it move at the same time... definetly instant bond, Im glad you guys had a good experiance!!
Oh it sounds....magical!
When you said "the second the baby came up on the screen..." when i first looked at it I thought you were saying the second baby! That would have been fun! I cant wait to see pictures!
Just thought I would let you know that I found a website called Macklem's. They carry cribs and are located in Toronto. I wasn't sure but thought you said your dad goes there for business. They don't ship furniture but I thought if you found one you like your dad could pick it up for you.
Glad you enjoyed it! It is pretty cool...Phil and I were lucky though and though we got a peek at Ethan's manhood!! It's super cool in 3'D...I got to go to the 7th floor and they did it that way there. She was nice and gave me some pics too and didn't make me pay for them. Can't wait to see the pictures from UC Baby
OH I love that you got to see your little skeletor! Sorry I didn't comment sooner...sheesh what kind of friend am I?? I just can't wait to see what you're having!!!
